I'm planning on having a masquerade themed Quinceañera.
I need some advice on the decorations i might need and the attire.
I'm thinking for my entrance me and my chambalan, and for the other damas and chambalans
we should wear masquerade masks.
I'm not entirely sure, can anybody help me as to how to make this theme workout?
All advice/help is appreciated.
thank you

I hope these 9 tips help. I know they are not all based for a teen event, but at least you get an idea. Also Google for Masquerade decorations -- it should give you ideas on the color theme for your decoration for guest tables and also other things. click here for other ideas.

9 Ideas for Your Masquerade Theme Party

The Masquerade theme party became popular in Venice in the 15 century amongst high society. It is thought that the original purpose was so that the aristocrats could cheat on their wives without being discovered.

Since then, the Masquerade theme party has become popular all over the world. The main point being that you get to hide your identity by wearing a mask. You'll be amazed at what you'll get away with!

If you're thinking of throwing a Masquerade theme party, follow these tips to help make it a party to remember:

  1. Send out your invitations on a face mask. This can be a cardboard cut out or an actual mask!

  2. Men and the ladies should aim to dress up as flamboyantly as possible! You could have an award for the best costume if you wish later on in the night!

  3. Masks are absolutely essential! Your identity has to be concealed at all times. You can though if you wish have a public unveiling at midnight!

  4. Consider hiring a professional photographer and have him stationed at the entrance. Your guests will love this little touch!

  5. Get in some spare masks just in case anybody fails to turn up in one!

  6. Try and create an atmosphere of intrigue. Turn down the lights and scatter candles around the venue.

  7. If you have a large budget, or the company is paying for the party, consider hiring a string quartet. Otherwise playing classical music will be sufficient.

  8. The food should reflect the fact that a Masquerade theme party is a fine occasion. Go for fine Venetian food! Otherwise, if you're on a budget, finger buffets will do!

  9. For the drinks you should opt for champagne or wine. You should use your best glasses.
